For Your Consideration

The Society of the Servants of the Prince of Peace
Founded Posthumously by Bishop Karl Pruter (1920-2007)

A Religious Society Sponsored and Chartered
By The Rt. Rev. Brian E. Brown – Diocese of the Shepherd’s Heart
Christ’s Catholic Church: An Ecumenical Free Catholic Communion

The Servants do not belong to an organization, they carry no membership cards, pay no dues, and wear no badges, but they have pledged themselves to serve Jesus, the Prince of Peace. Having observed that millions in the world claim to follow Jesus, but seem to have overlooked one of His more important titles, The Prince of Peace, they have specifically promised to serve Him as The Prince of Peace. They have committed themselves to a few but important things.

First, the Servants vow to go to Him in prayer every day for not less than fifteen minuets.

Second, each day in prayer they will offer a prayer or a litany for peace.

Third, at least once a month, they will meet with other Servants of the Prince of Peace to pray together for the peace of the world.

Fourth, they will attend the church of their choice, at least once a week.

Fifth, they will share a portion of their income to be used as alms and for God’s work.

Finally, they will give witness to their community and to the world that Jesus is the Prince of Peace. At least once a week they will witness in one or more of the following ways:

A. Speak to one person about Jesus, The Prince of Peace.

B. Write a letter to someone in government urging some step toward peace.

C. Distribute peace literature in some public place.

D. Speak to some group, on invitation, about the Society of the Servants of the Prince of Peace.

E. Write a letter to the press urging peace and peace making.

Above all, they believe that peace will come when enough people pray for it and prepare their hearts and minds to receive it. They believe their small prayer cells can build a foundation upon which Christ can buid that peace which He has promised to bring. They believe that He is, The Prince of Peace and that by serving Him, peace will come by His Hands.
